This program provides seed grants for neuroscience or brain-related scientific organizations (including societies, institutions, research and university groups, etc.) with some outreach/advocacy experience in Africa, Asia/Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East and the Pan-European region who would like to conduct activities in their local areas. Grants of up to €5,000 are available.
Submission deadline: 9 August 2020 (11:59 p.m. CET). Please remember to fill in the required fields marked by an asterisk (*) or you will not be able to submit your form.
Please note that global engagement seed grants are NOT for scientific research, scientific meetings, travel grants or research staff support.
The proposed events and activities should address the specific needs of neuroscience engagement, outreach, awareness and/or advocacy in the country where they are being held. They can include public lectures and public fairs; advocacy events with policymakers, educators, the media and the public; the development of educational videos or multimedia products to increase awareness; and other similar activities. For more guidance, see our Global Engagement Initiative webpages.
These grants are generously supported by funding from IBRO, the Society for Neuroscience (SfN), the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) and the Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS).
