Sorry Workshop Full - no longer taking bookings. Wanna learn more about Making your own Sensors & Hacking?
(STEM initiative for Engineers week - Saturday 27th Feb)
Sorry workshop full no longer taking bookings Jeffrey Roe, from the amazing Dublin TOG makespace - www.TOG.ie - is running an online workshop on Sat Feb 27th to show you how to make and install a sensor that can measure air quality in your neighbourhood. We have 14 spaces available for this workshop and we'd like you to tell us why you should have one of them. If you get selected, you will be given the equipment and tools needed to make your own sensor using Raspberry Pi micro computers and low cost sensors. No specific skills required other than enthusiasm and curiosity. Anyone under 18 will need to be supervised by a parent. The sensors built as part of the workshop will contribute data to the international sensor community database: https://sensor.community/en/
More details and information here:
Name of Applicant:
Age range of applicant
Name of Parent/Guardian (if applicable) Under 18s must be supervised by a parent/Guardian. (use n/a if you are over 18)
Do you have access to any of the following? (A laptop is essential. Anything after that is a bonus but don't worry if you don't have it)
A glue gun
A soldering iron
Would you be interested in keeping the sensor and mounting it on your house (plus connecting to your wi-fi - note that the draw on the wi-fi is very low)?
In a couple of lines tell us why you would like to participate in the workshop
Would you be interested in getting more involved in setting up sensors etc. around the town and would you like us to contact you on this?
