Purpose of the Teen Board
The SPARK! Teen Board is a student advisory group that meets during the school year. The Board brainstorms creative ways to engage youth, spread awareness of the SPARK! mission, hold an event, and participate in a SPARK! Service Project. Members will gain both leadership and volunteer experience by participating as members of a board similar to those boards that govern nonprofit agencies.

The SPARK! Teen Board will be made up of a maximum of 20 students in grades 9-12. Teens are eligible to apply and begin their service as early as the fall semester of 9th grade. The term of service is one school year (September-June). Students may be eligible to serve more than one term. Teens will not be able to serve as active members post-high school graduation.
