The Arches Project, Birmingham, winner of the Birmingham 2019 prestige award for the most creative non-profit organisation of the year - helps to ensure that your talent is not hidden and you continue to follow your true passion - Art! We have enjoyed extensive media coverage including Central TV, Sky and newspapers.
Situated in the creative quarter of Digbeth Birmingham, we offer a platform for creative talents of all disciplines, giving emerging and established artists the opportunity to gain experience within the industry and achieve the exposure they would otherwise not receive.
As a painter, illustrator, photographer, singer, comedian, creative writer or a sculptor, or any other talent that you think needs to be seen, this is the space for you to push the boundaries within the art scene.
With lots of new and exciting events, we continue to expand our themes of creativity. Everyone with a talent will be seen and recognised by creating access for audiences, giving them the opportunity to connect with artists and see the wonderful array of new art in our unique space.
Our success story in 2019 is sculptor Jacob Chandler. Jacob was commissioned by Telford Council to do a sculpture which is displayed at the entrance to Telford Shopping Centre.
Quote from Jacob “...it all started with The Arches Project for me....”
“The art world is quite a difficult one to really get into...there are often quite a lot of barriers be it financial or travel...[The Arches Project] offers a unique opportunity... it offers affordable exhibitions...it was really useful to me because at the start of my career I had a lot of ideas...I wasn’t sure of the likelihood of making a career in the arts a success...going there and seeing other people trying and meeting other successful artists....the main thing was how warm the atmosphere was it felt like a family... it gave me a lot of confidence in the art world, knowing that people were there to help, the support I received as a young artist has been phenomenal and that started with The Arches Project for me”
